When & where
3-4 Nov 2017
St John's College, University of Cambridge
Listen to renowned professors and aspiring young researchers talking about interesting things they do and why they do it. Learn new things, meet inspiring people, make new friends and scientific collaborations.
Talks & poster sessions
Find out about other people’s research: their ideas, problems they face and solutions they propose. 10 talks, 24 poster presentations. Would you like to be a part of it? Tell the audience what your project is all about in just 10 minutes or present your project on a poster and be ready to receive immediate hints on how to realise it. Talk popular science.
[This year's call for abstracts has closed.]
Workshops & panel discussions
Gather information on funding possibilities from our scientific partners. Improve your transferable skills, work in a group, interact! Try out something new - consulting, communicating science for the media? This year you will be able to enrol in one of our (at least!) three unique workshops. We are also planning two panel discussions. Join in! Share your opinion about topics including Polish science, technology transfer, innovative research and perspectives of career development in Poland and abroad.
How about a standup comedy night or an overly geeky pub quiz night on Friday, and the legendary SPP party on Saturday? Also, this year at the Fitzwilliam College we will be hosting the biggest SPP dinner so far. Have fun and make new friends - sometimes the best (scientific) ideas come up over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine!
- Two days of talks and poster sessions, debates and countless opportunities to network
- SPP giftbag with some cool geek SPP gadgets
- A workshop of your choice
- Lunches at the st John's great Hall and coffee breaks with unlimited caffeine and sugar supplies to keep you running
- An invitation to a formal dinner on Saturday
- Saturday SPP party in one of Cambridge's clubs
Speakers and poster presenters: 30 GBP
Call for abstracts is closed.
Early-birds tickets: 35 GBP

Although we are aware that any fee may be an obstruction, we firmly believe that we offer a great value for money. Please note that SPP is a non-profit conference and our team members are volunteers to make sure the fee for our events and activities is as low as possible.
